FixiCover receives approval from Transport for London

The FixiCover Driver Shield, a popular in-car partition that acts as a sneeze guard between drivers and their passengers, is fully compliant with the requirements of Transport for London (TfL).

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 5th of November, 2020 - Transport for London (TfL), the integrated transport authority of the capital city, has approved the FixiCover Driver Shield to be installed in Private Hire Vehicles (PHV) operating within the area of London. The first confirmed approvals are for a variety of Toyota and Lexus models, approvals for other makes and models are expected to follow soon.

According to the governmental website, TfL has received a large number of applications from private hire operators, individual private hire drivers and suppliers of partitions such as FixiCover. TfL’s role is to ensure the installation of any such screens, and the materials used, comply with government and industry regulations and TfL's requirements as the licensing authority. FixiCover received TfL’s approval after passing a number of tests focussing on a variety of criteria such as flexibility, and impact-, light-, fire- and chemical resistance.

The FixiCover Driver Shield separates drivers from their passengers and serves as a sneeze guard by limiting airborne transmission of respiratory droplets.
